The primary responsibility for this role is efficient deployment of electrical resources for the effective maintenance and repair of all machines in the plant to achieve optimum plant availability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Effectively managing an electrical team to high levels of service delivery.
• Ensuring daily plant availability.
• Resolving breakdown related problems on site.
• Following through with problem-solving using route cause analysis techniques.
• Effective Planned Maintenance and the ongoing improvement thereof.
• Documentation control.
• Liaising with relevant internal customers / suppliers (Bevtech).
• Safety and Housekeeping of the department.
• Effective cost control.
• Control of spares stock levels.
• Ensuring critical breakdown spares available in stock.
• Fault finding on electrical systems, PLC controlled systems and variable frequency drives.
• NOSA and OSHACT compliance.
• Implementation of CAN DO! Excellence practice within the department.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should posses the following:

• Be a qualified Electronics Technician with a National Diploma / BTECH in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Have at least 5 years experience in a high-speed component manufacturing environment, 2 of the years must be in a supervisory position.
• Have problem solving and diagnostic skills.
• Have the ability to read and understand electrical systems and drawings.
• Have good knowledge of electronics.
• In-depth experience of PLC (Siemens S5 and S7) and Microprocessor based equipment.
• Have good communication and people skills and be a team player.
• Be willing / able to work closely with the manufacturing team.
• Have good planning and organising skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and work overtime when required.
• Have good communications skills.
