Comprehensive CV (with detailed experience) with full record of service, stating duties performed/performing
and years of experience written in full e.g. 01/01/2022.
Copies of Qualifications, Registration Certificates and updated certificate of service must not be submitted when applying for

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST
Senior Certificate/Grade 12
A Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent Qualification registered with the South African
Nursing Council (SANC)
A post registration qualification in Nursing Education registered with the SANC
Proof of current registration with the SANC (2022)
An unendorsed valid driver’s license (Code 8/EB)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
GRADE 1: A minimum of four (04) years appropriate /recognizable nursing experience
after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing with a post-
basic qualification in Nursing Education
OR
GRADE 2: A minimum of fourteen (14) years appropriate/recognizable nursing
experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
At least 10 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable
experience in Nursing Education after obtaining the one year post-basic qualification in
Nursing Education
RECOMMENDATIONS
Master’s degree in Nursing
Basic Computer Literacy
Post basic qualification in Ophthalmology or Emergency Nursing Science

Possess knowledge of relevant Legislations, Prescripts and Policy Framework regarding the area

Knowledge of Nursing Education programmes and curriculum
Have in-depth knowledge of procedures related to Nursing and Nursing Education
Possess sound knowledge and understanding of nursing code of ethics and professional practice
Proficiency in teaching and assessment of Nursing Education including evaluation approaches
Have good research and analytical skills
Possess good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Competence in conflict management and problem solving sills
Willingness to travel
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Provide effective and efficient clinical training of Student Nurses
Develop/design, review and evaluate clinical evaluation tools
Co-ordinate clinical learning exposure of Student Nurses between the campus and clinical area
Implement assessment strategies to determine Student Nurses competencies
Exercise control over Student Nurses
Implement the quality management system for the Nursing Education institution
Implement the new Nursing programmes in line with the SANC and CHE Regulations
Participate in the provisioning of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities at the
